Especially if you don\u2019t have a familiar face there. To make it easier for you to get started, we want to share a few ideas that we\u2019ve developed in our Plenum:<\/p>\n<p>Feel free to write us a private message and describe your needs. We take this seriously and will respond. We\u2019ll do our best to accommodate your needs so you feel comfortable joining. It\u2019s important to us that you come.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re also considering organizing relaxed introductory meetings, so you\u2019re not overwhelmed by the big group right away \u2014 because it\u2019s made up of lots of different people and contributions.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">We also want to explain the process and composition of our Plenum a bit, so you know what to expect in a session:<\/p>\n<p>We are a mixed group with many different positions and opinions. That makes discussions exciting and diverse! Our common denominator is transformation (global development) towards a more progressive (inclusive) society, where exploitation and exclusion have no place. The perspectives within the group differ \u2014 but we connect through this common goal.<\/p>\n<p>Our Plenum is not hierarchical, but rather consensus-based. That means everyone shares concerns and desires, and we make decisions together. If there\u2019s disagreement, we try to find solutions that everyone can live with. The majority does not overrule the minority.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can bring in and contribute their own ideas. There are no hidden background structures \u2014 everything is transparent and open. So you\u2019ll know what\u2019s going on and how decisions are made.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, it&#8217;s just one person moderating the Plenum. That\u2019s no big deal, but it\u2019s not a fixed leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Please don\u2019t bring alcohol or other drugs to the Plenum.
